CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace

CPR and AED training from JPC provides critical, potentially life-saving knowledge to the community. Depending upon course selection, successful completion of the course will result in issuance of either a CPR/AED certification card or CPR Only certification card. The certification period is two (2) years, but is recommended annually.

Intended Audience

Persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

  • ASHI-approved audio-visual presentation media


Successful Completion


  • Written Exam, 70% or higher
  • Demonstrate proper removal of contaminated gloves.
  • Place an unresponsive breathing victim in a recovery position.
  • Perform effective rescue breathing with a face shield or pocket mask.
  • Perform effective chest compressions.
  • Perform effective CPR with 1 provider.
  • Perform the steps to manage choking in a responsive victim.
  • Safely and correctly attach and operate an AED (optional).
  • Coordinate CPR and AED to minimize interruptions in chest compressions (optional).
